result: the signal quality is flawless

fibre-coax converters: the satellite IF
signal is combined with the signal from
a terrestrial antenna in a switch. The
combined signal, that could lie in the range
from 87 to 2300 MHz, is converted to an
optical signal that can then be carried over
very long distances.
10. At the other end the optical signal
is then reconverted back to the original
frequency range. The system is available
as a set and is meant for use in inexpensive
installations.

frequency range.
